Easy chocolate cake

Let’s talk chocolate today!

Whether it’s for a improvised snack with friends or a sudden chocolate craving, this recipe is Oh! so simple and very soft and tasty. Whenever I have last minute guests in the afternoon, a quick dessert to make for a meal, or some cooking time with my daughter, this is usually my go-to recipe.

It will take you about 15 minutes to make  before putting it in the oven

  • 170 g of chocolate

  • 1 teaspoon of coffee

  • 170 g of sugar

  • 70 g of flour

  • 170 g of butter

  • 4 eggs

The recipe:

  • Melt chocolate and add coffee in it.

  • Melt the butter.

  • In a mixing bowl, stir together sugar and flour.

  • Mix the egg yolks and add it to the sugar/flour mix.

  • Add the melted butter and chocolate to that mix.

  • Whip egg-whites to a light mousse and add it to the rest.

  • Grease and flour the baking pan.

  • Put into the pre-heated oven for 30 minutes at 360°F (180°C).

You can also adapt the recipe and use milk chocolate instead of black chocolate, which I personally prefer and you can add any toping you may like such as chocolate or vanilla icings. I usually only use icing sugar on this cake, but any topping will make it delicious too.
